A Mastermind group can help you achieve more, avoid procrastination, and be accountable to someone other than yourself. The group can be a resource to brainstorm and bounce ideas off of respected colleagues, as well as a valuable source of some ‘water cooler’ conversation especially for solo practitioners.

Join me for the next Mastermind Open House Call to find out how to set up your own Mastermind group or you can save your seat in one of my groups.

New Masterminds groups are now forming*.

Entrepreneur and Business Women Career Advancement Groups

No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind.” – Napolean Hill, Think and Grow Rich Originator of the Mastermind concept

Mastermind groups benefits:

Mastermind groups create a winning situation for all participants. Everyone gives and receives benefits from the support and encouragement of the coach facilitator and the group members.

Check all that apply:

If you have challenges being accountable to yourself (you mark your calendar to work on projects and then you do not honor these sacred commitments to yourself), suffer from procrastination, or avoid projects until the last minute resulting in stress and missed deadlines a Mastermind group is for you. A mastermind can help you with accountability because you have made a commitment to your coach and the group not just to yourself.
If you want a group of trusted colleagues to brainstorm new ideas, give you feedback, help you reignite your enthusiasm for what you do, offer suggestions, and support, join or start a group. A mastermind is a group of trusted colleagues to share ideas and get feedback. A small size group allows time for every individual to receive group input, coaching and mentoring.
You want to work with a coach to help you with issues or accountability but can’t afford individual coaching right now.

If you checked one or more of the boxes come to the next Mastermind Open House Call

Who should participate in a Mastermind group?

Anyone who wants to make her/his goals and dreams a reality. Everyone who wants to finally eliminate the “someday” I will ________ approach to your career, business, or life aspirations.
Entrepreneurs who want to do a better job and be more committed to marketing , growing, organizing, or systematizing their business.
Perfectionists or procrastinators who want to move beyond those limitations.

Tips for a Successful Mastermind Group

Carefully select members of your Mastermind group.

Once you have identified and invited participants to your group, set the date and time for your first call, and arranged the bridge line you are ready for your first call. A well organized group, aligned on the expectations, procedures, leadership, ground rules and call format are critical to the group’s success. If the group is aligned on the expectations it is more likely to offer benefits to all the members.

1. Devote your entire first call to establishing the process and ground rules rather than focusing on your projects. It is worth the time and effort.
2. Start on time, assure all individuals honor their alloted time, end on time.
3. Maintain the integrity of the mastermind purpose: If a group falters, it is often because it has become too social and as a result fails to meet the intended purpose of a Mastermind.

Sample Call Format

1. Gather on the bridge line.
2. Leader starts call on time ( within 3-5 minutes.)
3. If the group has a facilitator ( coach, mentor, or other individual who is the paid leader of the group), the facilitator presents educational material on topic, leads a group coaching conversation, or provides other useful resources or material for the group. Otherwise skip to step 4
4. Individual member reports:
4.1 Review statement of overall purpose for being part of the group,
4.2 Report progress,
4.3 Request to the group for guidance, support, resources, feedback, coaching, mentoring.
4.4 Commit to future goals and tasks.
5. Wrap up – Close Call.

To achieve optimum results, a Mastermind group must have a leader.

When you join a Mastermind group in my Learning Community, you get the additional benefit of a leader who is also a professional coach, (without the added expense of individual coaching.) Everyone gets time for individual coaching and mentoring.

The coach is the group leader and timekeeper, keeps the group focused and accountable to the mastermind intention, coaches and mentors all members on their projects, brings additional information and materials to the group, and deals with all issues that may arise.
